Biography

KABO

JMulti-disciplinary artist Kabriele Rosas, AKA KaBö was born in Mexico City in 1982. KaBö’s
formal art tutelage had an auspicious beginning at the Frida Kahlo Artistic Education Center
at INBA (Instituto Nacional de Bellas Artes, MX)
Through complexity and beauty, KaBö’s art invites us to revive our capacity for wonder by
contrasting rural life with the postmodern world. An ethnic influence is notable in her
artistic vision, driven by her experiences in Africa, Asia, North and South America.
KaBö’s work evolves from deep introspection and dark subject matter. She is fascinated
with the psychological wounds we carry and the shadow selves we all inhabit.
KaBö studied carpentry at the Wood Technology Center in Seattle, WA, a city where her
creativity found another outlet; theater, which allowed her to develop her multidisciplinary
skills through the conceptualization and design of costumes, props, and sets.

She has collaborated with various NGOs in the development and execution of self-
sustaining, community art projects, and has managed art workshops in the US,

Mozambique, Brazil and Mexico.
KaBö has traveled the world exploring the various techniques and cultures, to develop her
unique and singular point of view, always looking to improve, advance, enlighten and inspire
humanity through her art.
She currently lives in one of the most aesthetically pleasing cities in the world, San Miguel
de Allende, Mexico. This colonial gem is teaming with artists and galleries and is the ideal
place for inspiration and continued growth.
